Who we are
What we do
JMF New Zealand’s purpose is to develop, market and promote compliant timber joinery products for the benefit of all stakeholders.
The JMF suite of timber joinery has been rigorously tested in a laboratory environment against a number of performance criteria including air leakage, water leakage and deflection under wind pressure. Our tested suite meets the NZS: 4211 standard, meaning it is compliant for use in New Zealand buildings.
We have manufacturers across New Zealand building JMF joinery for new builds and renovations, check our approved manufacturers page to find one near you!
NZS: 4211 requires that all window manufacturers label each and every window and door unit they make. Any untagged window or door is likely not compliant, therefore likely to be unsuitable for use in its intended setting.
JMF manufacturers tag their windows and doors with JMF branded tags which offer authorities and consumers peace of mind that the joinery is made to the highest of standards. Our tags also let you know the wind zone the joinery has been designed for as well as it’s air leakage grade.
JMF is supportive of local authorities checking and enforcing the use of NZS: 4211 labels on all new builds and renovations.
