As a consumer, it is always important to have a full understanding of the products you are selecting for your project. Below is a library of the full JMF suite, select the series you are looking at and discover how JMF joinery complies with the NZ Building Code.

Timber doors and windows are subject to the following building code clauses: 

  • B1 Structure — B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3 (a, b, h, j), B1.3.4
  • B2 Durability — B2.3.1 (b, c)
  • E2 External moisture — E2.3.2, E2.3.7
  • F2 Hazardous building materials — F2.3.1
  • G4 Ventilation — G4.3.1
  • G7 Natural light — G7.3.1, G7.3.2
  • H1 Energy efficiency — H1.3.1 (a, b), H1.3.2E

JMF joinery has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008, which demonstrates how our joinery complies with B1 Structure and E2 External Moisture. 

Each approved JMF manufacturer is responsible for manufacturing JMF joinery in accordance with the JMF manual, to ensure compliance with these building codes are met. Each manufacturer is also responsible for demonstrating how their product complies with all other areas of the building code, and can provide you with further information on these clauses. 

3000 SERIES DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW
  • JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY comprises of a fully assembled, double-hung timber window joinery units.
  • JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY has been designed for, but is not limited to, use in timber-framed housing and residential apartments up to three stories in height, and commercial buildings.
  • JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY is custom fabricated to the requirements of each project. Units are glazed with insulated glass units (IGUs).

  • JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and AS2047:1999 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY is glazed to comply with NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified in the project requirements because human impact may occur. Refer to Test Reports no. T399 and T400, available on request. In testing, JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY met the ultimate limit state strength requirements of the Very High Wind Zone at test pressures of +1760 Pa and subsequently at extended pressures of +2300 Pa.
  • JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and is fabricated to the water penetration requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY is suitable for installation in accordance with Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Third Edition Amendment 10. Installation details provided by other parties such as architects and cladding system suppliers may also be suitable. In testing, JMF 3000 SERIES JOINERY met the water penetration requirements of the Very High Wind Zone at a test pressure of 375 Pa.
  • JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY comprises of a fully assembled, sliding timber window joinery units.
  • JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY has been designed for, but is not limited to, use in timber-framed housing and residential apartments up to three stories in height, and commercial buildings.
  • JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY is custom fabricated to the requirements of each project. Units are glazed with insulated glass units (IGUs).

  • JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and AS 2047:1999 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY is glazed to comply with NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified in the project requirements because human impact may occur. Refer to Test Reports no. T389, T390, T397 and T398. In testing, JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY met the ultimate limit state strength requirements of the Very High Wind Zone at test pressures of +1760 Pa and subsequently at extended pressures of +2500 Pa.
  • JMF 4000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008, and is fabricated to the water penetration requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements.   • JMF 5000 SERIES JOINERY is custom fabricated to the requirements of each project. Units are glazed with insulated glass units (IGUs).

  • JMF 5000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 5000 SERIES JOINERY is glazed to comply with NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified in the project requirements because human impact may occur. Refer to Test Reports no. T348, T348a, T437 and T437a. In testing, JMF 5000 SERIES JOINERY met the ultimate limit state strength requirements of the Very High Wind Zone at test pressures of +1760 Pa and subsequently at extended pressures of +2500 Pa. 
  • JMF 5000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and is fabricated to the water penetration requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements.   • JMF 6000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and AS 2047:1999 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements.   • JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY is custom fabricated to the requirements of each project. Units are glazed with insulated glass units (IGUs).

  • JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY is glazed to comply with NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified in the project requirements because human impact may occur. Refer to Test Reports no. T357 and T455. In testing, JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY met the ultimate limit state strength requirements of the Very High Wind Zone at test pressures of +1760 Pa and up to subsequent pressures of +2300 Pa.
  • JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008, and is fabricated to the water penetration requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY is suitable for installation in accordance with Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Third Edition Amendment 10.   • JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY is custom fabricated to the requirements of each project. Units are glazed with insulated glass units (IGUs).
  • JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY has been tested in accordance with NZS 4211:2008 and AS 2047:1999 and is manufactured to the structural requirements of the Wind Zone specified in the project requirements. JMF 7000 SERIES JOINERY is glazed to comply with NZS 4223.3:2016 where specified in the project requirements because human impact may occur. Refer to Test Reports no.
